1. Acceptance of Terms

By using SoloTools (solotools.dev), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We keep these terms straightforward and fair.

2. What SoloTools Does

SoloTools is an AI-powered tool that helps freelancers and consultants generate professional client proposals. You provide project details, and our AI generates a formatted proposal that you can edit, download, and share.

3. Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use SoloTools
  • One person per account — don't share account credentials

4. Your Content

You own everything you create with SoloTools. Your proposals, client information, and business data belong to you. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (e.g., storing proposals in our database, sending content to OpenAI for generation).

5. AI-Generated Content

Proposals generated by SoloTools are created using AI (OpenAI). While we strive for high quality:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • You are responsible for reviewing and editing proposals before sending them to clients
  • SoloTools is a starting point — not a substitute for your professional judgment
  • We are not liable for business outcomes resulting from AI-generated content

6. Free & Pro Plans

  • Free plan: 3 AI-generated proposals per calendar month. All core features included.
  • Pro plan ($14.99/month): Unlimited proposals, custom branding, view analytics, and priority support.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing or plan features with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Price changes do not affect your current billing cycle.

7. Payments & Cancellation

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
  • Cancel anytime from your settings page — access continues until the end of the billing period
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months, but if you're unhappy, email us and we'll work something out

8. Acceptable Use

Don't use SoloTools to:

  • Generate fraudulent, misleading, or illegal proposals
  • Abuse the AI system or attempt to bypass usage limits
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy the service
  • Harass other users or our team

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high uptime but can't guarantee 100% availability. SoloTools is provided "as is" without warranty. We're a small team building something useful — we'll do our best, but things may break occasionally.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoloTools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
